Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion that unites Christ's triumph, hailed as Messiah by the inhabitants of Jerusalem and today in the ritual of the procession of the palms by the Christians, and the announcement of the Passion with the proclamation of the Gospel story in the mass.
bouquets are something of a talisman, or simply a blessed object, but the sign of the joyful participation in the ritual procession, an expression of faith in Christ Church, Messiah and Lord, that leads to death for salvation of all men. So, this Sunday has a dual nature, glory and suffering, which is characteristic of the Paschal Mystery.
